When the Jersey Shore heat kicks in, Wildwood’s water parks become family magnets. But which one fits your family? One update first: Splash Zone closed for good after the 2025 season, so the Boardwalk’s two water parks are now both run by Morey’s Piers: Raging Waters and Ocean Oasis.

Raging Waters: The Boardwalk Giant
Positioned right on the Wildwood Boardwalk near Schellenger Avenue, Raging Waters is Morey’s Piers’ water park at Mariner’s Pier (3501 Boardwalk), overlooking the beach and ocean.
Its ride list includes Speed Slides, Rocket Raft Run, the Serpentine Slides, Shotgun Falls, a Rope Swing, an Activity Pool, the Sky Pond Journey tube ride and the River Adventure lazy river. Younger kids have two play areas, Camp Kidtastrophe and Shipwreck Shoals.
Local Tip: Summer afternoons get busy. Go early for shorter lines, and check the day’s hours on moreyspiers.com before you head out.
Morey’s sells water park admission on its own, as a combo with the amusement ride wristband, and as season passes. Prices change each season, so check moreyspiers.com for current rates.
Ocean Oasis: Morey’s Second Water Park
Further north on the Boardwalk, Ocean Oasis Water Park & Beach Club sits at Morey’s Surfside Pier (2501 Boardwalk). Its rides include Cliff Dive, Riptide Rapids, Sidewinders, Wipeout, Rocket Raft Run and Shotgun Falls, plus the Endless River lazy river, an Activity Pool, The Puddle, Bonsai Beach, Water Lilies and a swim-up bar.
What happened to Splash Zone? Splash Zone Waterpark, at Schellenger Avenue and the Boardwalk, closed permanently at the end of the 2025 season after 26 summers, and its owner is exploring redevelopment of the site. Guides that still list it are out of date.
Which Park Wins for Different Families?
Choose Raging Waters if: You want the River Adventure lazy river, the Sky Pond Journey tube ride and two kids’ play areas, Camp Kidtastrophe and Shipwreck Shoals.
Choose Ocean Oasis if: You want the Cliff Dive and Riptide Rapids, the Endless River, and a swim-up bar for the adults.
Both parks are summer-only, and their days and hours change through the season, so check the hours on moreyspiers.com before you go, especially on cloudy days.
Why Coastal Collection Makes Water Park Days Easy
Coastal Collection’s five locally owned hotels, from Sunrise Inn to Beachside Resort, are a few blocks from the beach and the Boardwalk, and each has on-site parking.
After working up appetites on the slides, families can easily return to their rooms to freshen up before dinner. Plus, when the water park crowds become overwhelming, Wildwood’s beaches are free and offer the ultimate natural water park experience.
Local Tip: Ask Morey’s Piers about its current outside food and cooler rules before you pack a lunch.
Whether you pick the Cliff Dive at Ocean Oasis or the River Adventure at Raging Waters, the two parks are a Boardwalk walk apart, so you can try both in one trip. Visiting off-season? Both parks are closed, and from mid-October to April Coastal Sands Inn is the Coastal Collection hotel that’s open.
