About Coastal Sands Inn
Coastal Sands is a simple, comfortable motel-style stay on Atlantic Avenue in Wildwood, within walking distance of the beach and the Boardwalk. Rooms have a private bathroom, a microwave and a refrigerator, and the Two Double Beds Superior rooms sleep up to four, which works for families and friends sharing a weekend. An accessible room is available; ask when you book.
Location is the big draw in winter. From the front door:
- The Wildwoods Convention Center, home to many off-season events, is about a quarter mile away.
- The Spicer Avenue beach is about 1,000 feet away; you can watch it on the Wildwood webcams before you leave home.
- Byrne Plaza, downtown Wildwood’s square for the holiday tree lighting and shopping village, is under half a mile away.
- MudHen Brewing Company, which hosts several events through the holidays, is under half a mile away.
Why come in the off-season
The Wildwoods’ beaches are free year-round, with no beach tags, and in winter you’ll have long stretches of them to yourself (here’s why Wildwood beaches are free). Many Boardwalk rides and shops close for the season, so this is a trip for long walks, local restaurants, the brewery and the event calendar rather than the piers.
