Wildwood NJ Webcams: Live Beach and Boardwalk Cams

Want to see the beach before you pack the car? The Wildwoods tourism board runs a free webcam page at wildwoodsnj.com/view-webcam with 17 live feeds of the beach, the Boardwalk and the bay across Wildwood, North Wildwood and Wildwood Crest. Here is what each camera shows, which ones look at the blocks around our hotels, and what the cams are good for. We don’t run these cameras; the list below is the tourism board’s.

The cams closest to our hotels

The four Spicer Avenue cameras are the ones to watch if you’re staying with us. The Spicer Avenue beach is about 1,000 feet from Coastal Sands Inn at 4110 Atlantic Ave, a few minutes on foot, so what you see on those feeds is the stretch of sand and Boardwalk you’ll walk to. The Byrne Plaza camera shows downtown Wildwood, where the holiday tree lighting and shopping village happen each winter.

What the webcams are good for

  • Checking the weather on the sand. Wind, fog and how full the beach is don’t show up on a forecast the way they do on a live camera.
  • Watching the Boardwalk in the off-season. From fall through spring the Boardwalk is quiet, and the cams show you which mornings are worth a walk.
  • Event days. Monster trucks on the sand, the fall festivals and the Thanksgiving weekend bonfire all draw crowds you can see on the feeds. See what’s coming up in November in the Wildwoods and Christmas in the Wildwoods.
  • Missing the shore. Plenty of people keep a Wildwood cam open all winter. We don’t blame them.

Where to stay near the cameras

Open this winter: Coastal Sands Inn, 4110 Atlantic Ave, is the Coastal Collection hotel open from mid-October through April, a short walk from the Spicer Avenue beach and the Wildwoods Convention Center. Book Coastal Sands
