The Atlantic Coast Wrestling Association brings the War at the Jersey Shore National Youth Wrestling Championships back to the Wildwoods Convention Center on Friday and Saturday, March 26-27, 2027, with weigh-ins on Thursday, March 25. The 2026 edition (April 2-4) was billed at more than 2,000 wrestlers from over 20 states.

What Makes War at the Jersey Shore Special

The War at the Jersey Shore National Youth Wrestling Championships features both Folkstyle and Freestyle wrestling competition.

The tournament takes place at the Wildwoods Convention Center on the Boardwalk, with Folkstyle divisions from tots through high school, plus open (18+) and girls’ divisions; Freestyle is for high school and up.

Families attending the tournament can also enjoy Wildwood’s beach and boardwalk while in town for competition.

What to Expect at War at the Jersey Shore

Weigh-ins are Thursday evening, and competition runs Friday and Saturday at the convention center.

• March 26-27, 2027 — Folkstyle and Freestyle competition (weigh-ins March 25)
• Spectator admission: $25 per day for adults, $15 per day for children and seniors
• Convention center location on the Boardwalk, near the beach
• Double-elimination brackets for pre-K through high school boys, with wrestlebacks for true second place

Pack layers for late-March weather, and budget for parking and meals. The tournament atmosphere is family-friendly.

Where to Stay for War at the Jersey Shore

Our family-owned, motel-style hotels are a few blocks from the beach and the Boardwalk. In late March only Coastal Sands Inn (4110 Atlantic Ave) is open; the other four reopen around April 1.

Wildwood’s beaches are free, giving families a place to relax after competition days.
