Wildwood Crest Sand Sculpting Festival
Every July, Wildwood Crest Beach transforms into an outdoor art gallery where master sculptors turn ordinary sand into breathtaking castles, creatures, and masterpieces that draw thousands of families to witness this free spectacle just steps from the Atlantic Ocean.
What Makes Sand Sculpting Special
- Sand sculpture festival events feature intricate sculptures created by teams of artists throughout the day, from landmark replicas to fairy tale scenes and wildlife figures.
- The festival takes place on Wildwood Crest’s beach, where sand is well-suited for sculpting fine details and large structures. Children can try mini sculptures while watching artists at work nearby.
What to Expect at the Festival
- Sand sculpting competition on July 10, 2026
- Food vendors and craft booths along the boardwalk
- Kids’ sculpting area where children can create their own mini masterpieces with provided tools
- Judging ceremony followed by awards presentation
Pack sunscreen, folding chairs, and a camera to capture the temporary artworks before the tide takes them.
