The PigDog Beach Volleyball Classic is a weekend of beach volleyball on the sand between Oak and Maple Avenues, by Morey’s Piers’ PigDog Beach Bar, run by Great American Volleyball with Morey’s Piers. In 2026 it ran Saturday and Sunday, June 6-7; 2027 dates have not been announced yet.

What Makes PigDog Classic Special

• The PigDog Beach Volleyball Classic is a beach volleyball tournament with divisions from recreational to top-tier and youth through adult.
• In 2026, Saturday had coed doubles (AA to B) and junior girls’ and boys’ doubles (18U to 12U); Sunday had men’s and women’s doubles (Open to B), coed 4s and adult/child doubles.
• Top-level players compete for prize money and lower divisions play for merchandise prizes. In 2026, players also got discounted admission to Morey’s Piers amusements and Raging Waters water park.

What to Expect at PigDog Classic

In 2026, check-in was at 9 a.m. both days and play ran until about 6 p.m.

• Courts on the beach between Oak and Maple Avenues, next to Morey’s Piers’ PigDog Beach Bar
• Teams of 2 and 4, youth through adult
• Prize money for top divisions, merchandise prizes for the rest
• Registration through Great American Volleyball (GreatAmericanVolleyball.com, 732-778-9684)
• Street parking nearby is metered through the ParkMobile app

Where to Stay for PigDog Beach Volleyball Classic

The five Coastal Collection hotels are family-owned, motel-style properties within a few blocks of the beach and the Boardwalk. See walk times from each hotel to the Boardwalk, or compare all five Wildwood hotels and book direct on each hotel’s page. Only Coastal Sands Inn stays open from mid-October through March; Beachside Resort, Sunrise Inn, Paradise Inn and Sunset Beach Hotel reopen in April, so check dates when you book.
