Every Labor Day weekend, Wildwood says goodbye to summer with the free End of Summer Block Party at Fox Park, on Ocean Avenue between Burk and Montgomery Avenues, across from the Wildwoods Convention Center. In 2026 it was Sunday, September 6. The 2027 date has not been announced yet; Labor Day weekend 2027 runs Saturday, September 4, through Monday, September 6.

What Makes This Block Party Special

• The block party is held at Fox Park, not on the Boardwalk, and it has been a Fox Park tradition for well over a decade.
• It features free music and entertainment, food vendors, craft vendors and free children’s entertainment.
• It’s free to attend.

What to Expect at the Block Party

Expect a free, family-friendly festival in the park: live music, food and craft vendors, and entertainment for the kids. Afterward, head to the Boardwalk for rides and food stands.

• Free admission
• Wildwood’s beaches are free to the public.
• Food and craft vendors
• Free children’s entertainment

Pack sunscreen and comfortable walking shoes. For the 2027 date, check the Wildwoods events calendar at WildwoodsNJ.com, or call the City of Wildwood Recreation office at 609-522-5837 (WildwoodNJ.gov), the contact listed for the festival.

Where to Stay for Wildwood End of Summer Block Party

The five Coastal Collection hotels are family-owned, motel-style properties within a few blocks of the beach and the Boardwalk. Fox Park is under a mile from all five; Sunset Beach Hotel and Coastal Sands Inn are the closest. See walk times from each hotel to the Boardwalk, or compare all five Wildwood hotels and book direct on each hotel’s page. From mid-October through March only Coastal Sands Inn (4110 Atlantic Ave) is open; the other four reopen around April 1, so check dates when you book.
